The Travelling Midwife: Back in Cape Town – September 2011

I just have to announce that I am back in Cape Town for 3 months to facilitate spiritual, gentle and natural births and will be giving a Homebirth Workshop in October (to be announced) that is open to anyone interested in Natural Birth. I had a marvellous time at the IPA convention in Delaware, USA and then with my son Caleb in London. I met with two local Independant Midwives and was encouraged about the state of authentic midwiferyin the world.

On the way I stopped in Kwazulunatal at Ginny’s Moms and Babies Tea Party and reconnected with Moms and Babies. It was wonderful to see how the babies had grown and are showing an interest in the world around them like the green hedge(Zoe) and the concrete floor(Phoebe)!

I was also lucky enough to attend the natural birth of Dr Claudine Lee as her doula at St Annes Medical Centre in Pietermartizburg and we were all delighted at her and her baby’s achievements!

Pleased to be back in Cape Town, this morning I saw Lauren and Katherine who are both choosing to have homebirths in the coming months.
